Farid leads Attentional’s consultancy division and has extensive research and project management experience with a particular focus on economic and statistical modelling and forecasting.
Recent work has included: the development of an EPG-change risk assessment model to predict the viewing impact of different channel portfolio repositioning options; building a channel performance forecasting model to predict the impact of various future television scenarios; and a multivariate analysis comparing the cost efficiency of originated programming across a group of leading broadcasters.
Farid joined Attentional in 2002 after completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Bristol, prior to which he received MSc and MA (Hons) degrees in Economics from the Universities of Bristol and Edinburgh respectively. Farid's PhD Thesis won the Joseph Dorfman Prize, awarded annually by the US based History of Economics Society, for the best dissertation on the History of Economics.
